Driven by immigration, Nina and her family arrive in Mendoza, a prosperous land of pure air with a nature expressing its fullest identity where creation can thrive. Step by step, the idea of forming a home here took root in the hearts of this little girl. Las Compuertas, a few kilometers away from the noise that embraces the city when it awakens, was particularly different ground. As she wandered through each grove, each vineyard, and the serene, imposing mountain, Nina imagined a city for herself.
The life of nature, the treetops, how the sun filters through the leaves to caress each face, the aroma of the grapes, the dance of flowers playing with the refreshing breeze captivated Nina; her place in the world had found her after so much searching. The language of the dream of Las Compuertas, eager to express its goodness, embraced the adventurous spirit of the girl, and through wine, animals, water, the rows of vines, the paths, and the corners, came to life.
Cittanina unites the past of a rich land and the promise of an unforgettable future, a city with a heart divided between Nina’s native Italy and Las Compuertas, transforming a territory where the culture of Mendoza lives. A welcome to a city where the here and the there connect, with color, texture, stories, and the passion of a heart beating to belong to a life full of adventures.
This is the origin of our story, inviting every curious soul to discover the Garden of the Vines, where the senses culminate in the fruit of the vine. A family of small animals that accompanied the girl’s imagination over time, guardians of the heart of this estate, sailing the Mirror of Water, surrounded by wildflowers with small spaces to rest and enjoy. We invite you to explore our place where every sip of wine is a story, every vineyard a page of history written under the Mendoza sun, where it all begins.

Mendoza, Argentina
Located in the Cuyo region of Argentina, Mendoza is a high-altitude desert. It is the heart of the Argentine wine region, famous worldwide for its Malbecs and other red wines.
The Andes Mountain Range shapes its climate, as its vastness blocks the entry of potential wet fronts from the Pacific. Mendoza is characterized by low cloud cover and high sunshine, with skies that are almost always clear and rainfall that is scarce and concentrated.

World Capital of Wine
Mendoza is the main wine province of Argentina and, since July 2005, one of the Great Wine Capitals of the World. In this land, the birthplace of Malbec, more than 1,200 wineries produce 70% of all Argentine wines.
Among its most important characteristics, Mendoza boasts a great diversity of soils, climate, and altitude, showcasing everything from young, fruity wines to products with great aging potential, fruit concentration, and aromas.
